Search basics:

Most books on our website are in stock, or we can get it for you within a few days. After we get your order we will contact you about delivery times and availability.

How to find a book
Type in the name of the book in the text box next to 'Search for'. The system will automatically search for a title but if you wish you can change the search type to Author or ISBN. To do this click on the little down facing arrow next to the word 'Title' and some choices will appear.

If you are not sure of the name of the book you can search on any key word (or part of the word) that you think is in the name, for example if the book is about the battle of Agincourt but you can't remember the exact name just type in 'Agincourt' and see what happens.

If you want to browse a range of books on a topic then go to "Select a Topic" to search our entire catalogue. After you click on a particular topic then click on the "Find" button (or press the "Enter" key) for a range of books to appear. Click on each book name to receive more details on that particular book. Browsing like that can be fun but be careful of getting RSI from clicking too many times without a break!!

Search Tips
When entering Author Names:
Names are indexed in "LastName FirstName" order.
So if you wish to find books from a certain author then enter the author's last name only.

When entering ISBN/EAN Numbers:
Enter the 10 or 13 digit ISBN code only - no spaces or dashes
Or enter the 12 digit EAN code (if you want to know the difference send us an email and we'll try to explain).

If the product you are searching for is not listed, you will be presented with an Enquiry Form to fill in, this will be sent to us electronically. We will then respond to your enquiry. This may take a day or two depending upon the degree of difficulty, if it is urgent for some reason then let us know in the Enquiry Form.

Not sure of the exact details?
Then complete the Enquiry Form and we will respond ASAP. You can type in any information you have, what the book is about and anything else that might help - publisher, year published, where you saw the book reviewed, the colour, the picture on the cover or even words that might rhyme with the authors name etc etc etc. We often find books for people who have forgotten the name and the author and only remember the story line!

Once we received this request for a book:
"Can you please help me, I am looking for a particular book and all I can remember is that it was blue and about travel. Thanks". Well we thought we had no chance but when we rang her we nutted it out and got her the book she wanted - proving that we are heroes!
