1. Question: How are you alternative? Answer: Being an independent bookstore in this day and age is in itself alternative. More so when said bookshop has been in existence since 1976. While still stocking the best-sellers of the time, we actually get most our business by selling books from our strong backlist of fiction, queer-lit, self-help, occult and buddhist titles. We try to get the books that other booksellers would not carry. |

2. Question: Do you deal in any second-hand goods? Answer: Yes. We often find second hand books for customers who really want a particular title. We will leave no stone unturned or website unvisited in seeking your book. While websites are great we also visit auctions and sales in a pursuit of fabulous lost books. A great place to get books is from the auctions that you often get on farms thoughout New South Wales. So ask and we'll try. Thanks for your question. |

3. Question: I'm interested in a job at your store - what do I have to do? Answer: Hand in your resume. Although be warned that there are only currently 3 people that work at our store (4 if you count the owner). If we need an employee in the future we will look through our list of resumes and decide from there. But it is far, far more likely the job will simply go to someone we know. So the best way to get a job here would be to befriend one of us. |

4. Question: Do you have a short story competition? Answer: Yes we do and we release details about August each year, so keep an eye on this site. |
|
5. Question: Where is my book? Answer: On the odd occassion that after the amount of time we specified a book has not been delievered to you, please feel free to send us an email, phone, fax, post etc. |
|
6. Question: Can you send books to people in prison? Answer: We can certainly post books to people in prison. We can't, of course, take responsibility for the book actually getting to the particular person as we can't be sure of things like applicable prison regulations or restrictions. The best we can do is post the book. But we know that many pople in prison would love a good book. |

7. Question: Is John Howard really the anti-christ or just his lackey? Answer: Now that is a good question. Some of us here believe that he is neither - he is just a very poor decision maker and he does not have a good long term vision, nor does he understand the long term impact of many of his decisions - Iraq being an excellent example. But sadly that example includes several hundred thousand deaths and the likelyhood of long term anarchy - but what can you do?!! |

8. Question: Where are my pants? Answer: These types of childish and mindless questions are really silly and detract from our normal activities. We have books here that can help you become more mature or perhaps more funny. Thanks for your question and thank heavens that it is not frequently asked. |
