LIFE WITHOUT MONEY BOOK LAUNCH

On February 15 Smiths will be hosting the launch of Life Without Money, a timely book that counters money-based economies. Published by Pluto Press London, "Life Without Money is written by high-profile activist scholars, including Harry Cleaver, Ariel Salleh and John O'Neill, making it an excellent text for political economy and environmental courses, as well as an inspiring manifesto for those who want to take action."
Starts at 6:30pm.

EVENT - AUTISM ALL-STARS

Join us on Saturday March 3 to launch Autism All-Stars, a book about "looking at the positive influences, great talents and unique thought processes of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, this book is a celebration of those who have used their autism to shine in life."

Canberra author Peter Rees will be in conversation with
Gerard McManus about his new book Desert Boys, which reveals the very human story of Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen who fought in the desert campaigns during WWI and WWII. Using letters, diaries, interviews and unpublished memoirs, Rees is able to share with us a personal and gripping insight into the thoughts, feelings and experiences of two generations of Australians at war, in some of the most extremecampaigns of our military history.
